Work History
Staked as Liard cl (89244) in Aug/65 by G.E. Stephen, who hand trenched in 1965-66 and optioned to Atlas EL, which explored with airborne mag and EM surveys and a soil survey in 1966. Later optioned to Klondike EL in 1969 and to Wye Lake Resources L in 1971, both of which performed only prospecting and geochem sampling.
Capsule Geology
Chalcopyrite occurs in narrow quartz veins cutting thin-bedded Cambrian to Silurian phyllite and limestone. A chip sample of the best surface exposure assayed 6.5% Cu, 3.4 g/t Ag and trace Au across 15 cm.
