Work History

Staked as Gem cl (75762) in Jun/61 by J.R. Shiells, who hand trenched later in the year. Restaked as Cone cl (Y29498) in Sep/69 by L. Trautman; as Hal cl (Y64458) in May/72 by H. Komish; and as MBKT cl (YA36855) in Jun/79 by T. McCrory & J.R. Shiells, who trenched in 1980-82. Klinkit JV (DuPont of Can EL & Duval Corp) staked the H cl (YA44195) on the north side in Jun/79 and explored with mapping and geochem sampling later in the year.
Restaked as Carrell Mining cl 1-3 (YB71271) by N. Regimbald and W. Carrell. The claims were transferred to 13744 Yukon Inc in May/96.

Capsule Geology

Topaz occurs with feldspar, biotite and tourmaline in pegmatite float. The H group, staked on geochem anomalies from the GSC's Uranium Reconnaissance Program, was found to be unmineralized.
