Work History
Staked as Dot cl (88909) in Oct/64 by R. Lindstrom and G.E. White. Restaked in Feb/69 as Jake cl (Y29031) by R. Bailey, who performed hand pitting and bulldozer trenching in 1969-72; as A cl (YA50471) in Mar/80 by B. Kennealy; and as Wolf cl (YA73495) in Jun/85 by McCrory Holdings L. The Wolf group was optioned by Pak-Man Res Inc and 2001 Res Ind L, which performed mapping and sampling.
Capsule Geology
The original showing consists of massive pyrite, pyrrhotite and chalcopyrite in a skarn zone in a roof pendant of Cambrian sedimentary rocks within the Cretaceous Cassiar Batholith. Three parallel, northwest-trending and northeast-dipping veins were found nearby in 1985 in a mineralized area about 350 m long and 30 m wide. The veins were exposed for a length of about 120 m. Mineralization consists of galena, sphalerite and pyrite in quartz gangue. A large grab sample of the 8 cm wide BC Vein, on claim Wolf 4, assayed 1566.8 g/t Ag. Specimens of the 14 to 90 cm wide BP Vein, on claim Wolfe 6, returned up to 668.5 g/t Ag.
