Work History

Staked as the Ray cl (YA25724) in Sep/77 by Canada Tungsten Mg Corp L, which conducted mapping, geochem and mag surveys in 1978. W. Bulmer tied on the Mark cl (YA34448) in Aug/78. Cantung also staked the Emily group (YA35473) 4.8 km to the north in Sep/78 and explored it with geochem and mag surveys later in the year. A geophysical survey was performed on the Ray group in 1980.

Capsule Geology

Both the Ray and Emily groups were staked on tungsten geochemical anomalies near a contact between Devonian sedimentary rocks and a Cretaceous granodiorite stock. A shear zone in the granodiorite on the Ray claims contains quartz, pyrite and scheelite, from which a selected specimen assayed 0.96% WO3.
