Work History

Staked as Pine cl (77626) in Mar/62 by D. Carnegie. Shell Canada Resources flew a large airborne geophysical survey over the area in 1981 for George Kent & Associates.
In Oct/95 Minfocus International Inc staked Cam cl 1-32 (YB69893) 5 km to the south. In March and Apr/96 the company carried out a exploration program consisting of line cutting, magnetic and EM geophysical surveys, followed by a two hole (216 m) diamond drill program.

Capsule Geology

Geological Survey of Canada maps show that the claims are underlain by Pennsylvanian to Permian clastic rocks which have no magnetic response. The 1981 airborne geophysical survey outlined a strong linear magnetic anomaly running approximately north-south through the center of Minfocus¿s Cam claim group. The company used ground geophysics to relocate the anomaly in 1996 and to target their drill holes. Both holes encountered a metasedimentary sequence of shales and phyllites interfingered with intermittent crush and mylonitic fault zones and andesites. Hole Cam 96-3 encountered strongly magnetic serpentinite from 106.7 m to the end of the hole. Hole Cam 96-4 encountered mylonite with minor intercalations of graphitic phyllite from 53 m to 81 m where unmineralized serpentinite was encountered. The unmineralized serpentinite continued to the end of the hole.
