Work History
Staked as Woah cl (YA25740) in Sep/77 by Welcome North ML, which explored with mapping and sampling in 1977 and 1978. The property was optioned in 1979 to Riocanex, which performed rock geochem sampling, and in 1981 to Union Carbide.
Capsule Geology
Very low grades of scheelite mineralization were found within a 50 m thick section of Proterozoic or Lower Cambrian Hyland Group marble at the contact of the Cretaceous Mt Billings Batholith. The southwest showing consists of disseminated galena and brown sphalerite in fine grained diopside skarn.
