Capsule

Work History

Staked as 360 Net cl (YA9719) in Nov/76 by Aquitaine, which explored with mapping, geochem and radiometric surveys in 1976 and 1977. Further work was deferred because of a land withdrawal by the government for native land claim and park purposes in Jul/78. The claims were transferred to Kidd Creek ML in 1981 and to Falconbridge L in 1986.

Capsule Geology

Outcrops on the eastern edge of the claim group are mapped as Ordovician to Lower Devonian Road River Group shale and chert, unconformably overlain by Jurassic Kingak Formation shale. Secondary uranium minerals are reportedly associated with Carboniferous and Tertiary rocks on this property.
