Work History
First noted by the GSC in 1974 and apparently never staked or investigated. This target lies within a large area withdrawn from staking in Jul/78 pending creation of a National Wilderness Park, settlement of native land claims, and development of a management plan for the Porcupine Caribou Herd.
Capsule Geology
Several seams of anthracite up to 30 cm thick outcrop on the north bank of a small tributary of the Bell River. The coal seams contain about 6% ash and are interbedded with strongly folded sandstone of the Lower Cretaceous Kamik Formation.
