Work History

Staked as Pluto cl (YA32612) in Jun/79 by Cominco, which explored with mapping and geochem sampling in 1979 and 1980, a mag survey in 1979, bulldozer trenching in 1980, and entered a joint venture with Getty Can Mls L, which drilled 11 holes (1980 m) in 1981 and deepened one hole and drilled 2 others (1417 m) in 1982.
Restaked within Dome cl 1-38 (YB53100) by Archer, Cathro and Associates (1981) in Apr/95.

Capsule Geology

Molybdenite, wolframite and pyrite occur in quartz veins up to one cm wide within a stockwork system that cuts the southwest part of a quartz porphyry pluton. The stock is 1.5 km long and 0.5 km wide and has been dated by Cominco as 59.4 Ma (early Tertiary). It intrudes quartz-mica schist of the Nasina Series.
The mineralization is associated with strong sericite alteration. Two small stocks were located nearby while trenching anomalies. Drilling indicated average grades of 0.02 to 0.05% Mo plus erratic tungsten values over intersections ranging from 60 to 150 m long.
