Work History

Staked as Coal Lease 245 by C.H. Hamilton, C. Constantine and William Ogilvie, who surveyed it in Mar/1899. Ogilvie had discovered coal float at the mouth of the creek, 24 km downstream, in 1887.

Capsule Geology

The claim is underlain by lignite-bearing conglomerate and sandstone of Eocene age.
