Capsule

Work History

First staked about 1895 as Cone Hill Quartz claim by Isabella M. Healy. The claim was surveyed in 1896 and explored with two adits, 9 m and 3 m long. Other early staking includes Caraboo Mine, Star Mine & Humbug cl (707) in Nov/95, Elizabeth and Blue Jay cl (221) in Apr/98 and Paris cl (11682) in Feb/10.
Restaked as Rod cl (87314) in Feb/65 by Cassiar Asbestos Corp L and partially restaked as Teehee cl (YA32726) in Jun/79 by Teslin JV (Cassiar Asbestos Corp L, Cominco L & Exploram Mls L), which restaked as TEFATJV cl (YA64371) in Aug/81 and performed mapping and sampling later in the year.
Restaked as OGIL cl (YB4663) in Dec/87 by Homestake Ml Dev C, which performed mapping and geochem sampling in 1988. J. Moreau tied on FMR cl (YBI7296) to the southwest in Jun/88.

Capsule Geology

According to William Ogilvie, a large gold showing was supposed to be present at this location. The adits were driven in unmineralized quartz-carbonate alteration at the contact between a small serpentinite body and limestone and limy argillite of the Nasina Series. Chip sampling of the adit and geochemical sampling showed that gold content is at background levels.
