Work History
Staked as BRX cl 1-8 (YA9537) in Sep/76, following airborne radiometric prospecting, by Prism Syndicate (Prism Resources Limited, Canex Placer Limited, The Granby Mining Company Limited & Chieftain Development Company Limited) which performed mapping and a test EM survey in 1977.
In Jun/96, High Sense Geophysics Ltd. under contract to Equity Engineering Limited flew a regional, helicopter borne, magnetic and radiometric survey over most of the Coal Creek Inlier, but no new claims were staked.
Capsule Geology
The area is underlain by Proterozoic Gillespie Lake, Pinguicula/Fifteen Mile, and Callison sedimentary rocks (Gordey and Makepeace, 2000). Mineralized float occurs in a valley and consists of quartz, pyrite and honey coloured sphalerite in fractures cutting dolomite breccia, and massive pyrite in quartz. The dolomite unit is overlain by a thick shale section.
The regional airborne geophysical survey outlined numerous northeast trending features which were interpreted to be faults.
