Work History
Staked as Kim cl 1-24 (Y89705) in Aug & Sep/74 by Hudson Bay Exploration and Development Company Limited, which conducted geochem sampling and mapping in 1974, 1975 and 1976 and an IP survey in 1976.
In Jun/96, High Sense Geophysics Ltd under contract to Equity Engineering Limited flew a regional, helicopter borne, magnetic and radiometric survey over most of the Coal Creek Inlier, but no new claims were staked.
Capsule Geology
The area is underlain by Middle Proterozoic Pinguicula/Fifteen Mile (lower) shales, argillite and dolomite rocks. Minor galena and sphalerite occur in a breccia zone within argillite. The best 1974 results were: 9 200 ppm Zn, 14 000 ppm Pb, and 12.4 ppm Ag from soil samples; and 3 040 ppm Zn and 2 720 ppm Pb from rock samples. The regional airborne geophysical survey outlined numerous northeast trending features which were interpreted to be faults.
