Capsule

Work History

Staked as Cinch cl 1-48 (Y27265) in Jul/68 by New Cinch Uranium L adjoining Mark 39-76 cl (Y27078), staked to the northwest in Jun/68 by Hart River ML. Both groups were explored with grid soil sampling and mapping in 1969.

Capsule Geology

The area is underlain by sedimentary rocks of the Middle Proterozoic Fifteenmile Group and Lower Proterozoic Wernecke Supergroup. The latter is cut by diorite sills. A copper soil anomaly was found in the centre of the Cinch claim group, at the base of a steep north-facing slope, near a diorite-shale contact. A lead anomaly was outlined in a cirque about 600 m south of the copper anomaly, at the base of a steep talus slope of Paleozoic(?) dolostone.
