Work History

E. Weiz staked NIC cl (YA76675) on the northeast side in Jul/82 and performed road construction in 1983. M. McNabb added Tat cl (YA79157) to the southwest in Jul/83.
Restaked in May/92 as part of a block of 48 Tramp cl (YB40613) by B.A. Lueck, who staked a separate block of 4 Arizona cl (YB48070) 2.7 km to the north in Jun/92.
R. Wondga restaked the occurrence as the XL cl 1-2 (YB52713) in Sept/94. Wondga added XL cl 3-22 (YB43279) in Dec/94.
In the same area Wondga staked the HO cl 1-8 (YB48048) northwest of the XL claims in Feb/93. Wondga added HO cl 9-38 (YB48232) in Mar/93. Shortly after staking the claims Wondga optioned them to Regent Ventures Ltd. Regent Ventures carried out soil and silt sampling over the central part of the claims in the summer of 1993.
Wondga also staked the SM cl 1-38 (YB52557) to the west in Sept/94 and the JJ cl 61-86 (YB43253) to the east in Oct/94.
In Aug/95 Regent Ventures Ltd staked a small block of DC claims (various numbers - #7 = YB54231) between JJ and BC claims.
In Oct/97 International Kodiak Resources Inc staked numerous non-sequential blocks of Bonus claims (316-317, 395-396 ...etc,YC00121) and Pay cl 25-34 (YC01065) north and east of the occurrence.
Reataked as Mad cl 1-17 (YC10073) in May/2002 by R. Meuller, who carried out road construction during July and Aug/2002.

Capsule Geology

Revised mapping by Murphy and Heon (1996) show that the occurrence is underlain by tan to brown weathering thinly-bedded calcareous siltstone, sandstone shale and limestone of the Cambrian aged Gull Lake Formation.
The Ho claims are underlain by Upper Cambrian to Devonian-Mississippian metasedimentary rocks which have been intruded by Mid-Cretaceous dykes and small plutons of quartz monzonite of the Tombstone Suite, including the Hobo Creek stock in the center of the claim block.
Regent Ventures outlined a gossanous sulphide bearing zone on the east side of Hobo Creek, north of the Hobo Creek stock. A soil survey defined an east-west trending Au in soil anomaly over this area. The strongest response (380 ppb Au) is localized on the north end of the lines coincident with an intrusive and shale contact. The Au soil anomaly also coincides with a strong silt Au anomaly reported in an earlier government regional geochemical survey (GSC O.F. 1650).
