Work History
Staked as Can cl (YA83862) in June, 1984 by a joint venture between United Keno Hill Mines Ltd. & Falconbridge Ltd., which explored with a fence of percussion holes (438.9 m) later in the year. Faith Mines Ltd. tied on 153 Win cl (YB30901) to the north in July, 1990 and trenched and sampled in 1992. Wealth Resources Ltd. purchased a 50% interest in the Win claims in September, 1992.
The showing was re-staked June, 1992 as 14 HMS cl (YB40662) by 8783 Yukon Ltd. W. Hawkes tied on 52 Hawk cl (YB40676) at the same time, and added the D. Hawk 1-36 claims (YB41882) in May, 1993. Klondike King Gold Corp. optioned the Hawk claims in May, 1993.
Re-staked within a large block of Bar claims by Barramundi Gold Ltd. in March, 1996. The company staked LB cl 1-62 (YB68317) 4 km to the west in April, 1996. In March, 1999 Barramundi completed 3,850 line km of detailed airborne magnetometer and VLF-EM surveying that covered a 16 km x 24 km area centered about King Solomon Dome and included this occurrence.
Capsule Geology
The claims are underlain by chlorite-quartz-muscovite schist (unit Psc) of the Permian Klondike Schist Assemblage. Drilling returned low gold values up to 110 ppb Au over 3.0 m.
