Work History

Staked as Asbestos cl (57708) in Oct/51 by F.E. Envoldsen. Restaked as Hun cl (YA79929) in Jun/84 by a joint venture between United Keno Hill ML and Falconbridge L, which explored with mapping, geochem and VLF-EM surveys in 1987.
Arbor Resources tied on 29 GBC cl (YB41348) southeast of the Hun group in Aug/92. The GBC 1-29 cl were transferred to Klondike King Gold Corp in Jan/93, and optioned to Kennecott Canada Inc in May/93. Kennecott Canada Inc performed a limited soil geochemical survey in Aug/93. In Jan/95 the GBC claims were transferee to Sultan Minerals Limited.
In Mar/99 Barramundi completed 3 850 line km of detailed airborne magnetometer and VLF-EM surveying that covered a 16 x 24 km area centered about King Solomon Dome and included this occurrence.

Capsule Geology

The 1951 claims are mainly underlain by chlorite schist of the Permian Klondike Schist Assemblage (unit Psc). The claims are thought to have been staked over a strong aeromagnetic anomaly, which appears to be due to the presence of a magnetite-rich metagabbro body within the mafic schists (unit Pg).
The 1993 soil sampling returned one sample which was slightly anomalous in gold.
