Work History
Staked as Golden Rod cl (4227) in Apr/1900 by Mrs E. Dexter, who trenched until 1909 and took seven claims to lease in 1908. The area was extensively fringe staked and most claims received some trenching. Four claims were staked 1.6 km to the west by J. Lloyd in Apr/09 as B.C., etc (10818), trenched in 1910 and later taken to lease.
Restaked as Windy cl (YA41962) in Nov/79 by G. Bownes who trenched in 1980, and surrounded by a large block of KSD cl (YA49490) in Jan/80 by Cominco, which carried out mapping, geochem and IP surveys later in the year.
Restaked as Kin cl (YA89442) in Jul/87 by United Keno Hill ML, which performed mapping, geochem and VLF-EM surveys and bulldozer trenching later in the year.
In Mar/99 Barramundi completed 3 850 line km of detailed airborne magnetometer and VLF-EM surveying that covered a 16 x 24 km area centered about King Solomon Dome and included this occurrence.
Capsule Geology
The area is underlain by chlorite schist of the Permian Klondike Schist Assemblage (unit Psc) and is cut by numerous quartz veins. Exploration has been directed toward gold potential but no mineralization has been reported.
