Capsule

Work History

Staked as Lumby Logger cl 1-8 (Y99605) in May/75 by the Klotassin Joint Venture (Newconex Canadian Exploration Ltd, Marietta Resources Internationalal Ltd, and Molycorp Incorporated), which conducted mapping and grid soil sampling later in the year.

Capsule Geology

The claims cover 2400 by 600 m roof pendant of metaquartzite, biotite schist, garnet-diopside skarn and mafic augen gneiss within a granodiorite batholith. Foliation in the metasedimentary rocks strikes northeast parallel to the long axis of the pendant. The augen gneiss unit, which was seen only as float, is probably a thin bed and could represent an altered volcanic unit. A representative specimen assayed 178 ppm Cu and 1 ppm Mo and is the source of a moderate copper soil anomaly.
