Work History
Staked as Sam cl (Y90883) in Sep/74 by Can Superior EL, which carried out mapping and soil sampling in 1974 and bulldozer trenching in 1975.
Capsule Geology
The claims are underlain by hornblende-biotite schist and amphibolite of probable Devono-Mississippian age. These are inferred to be metavolcanic rocks based on their heterogeneous, fine grained texture and intercalated quartzose rocks and marble. Foliated granodiorite nearby is probably part of the same Devono-Mississippian sequence. Trenching of a weak copper anomaly exposed unmineralized gneiss.
