Work History

Staked as Comanche cl (Y62274) in Sep/71 by Bedford M Inc L (Pinnacle ML) and Yukon Gold Placers L, which bulldozer trenched in Sep/72 and conducted grid soil sampling, bulldozer trenching, EM 16 and magnetic surveys in 1973 and drilled 851.3 m (5 holes) in 1974.
The adjoining Wain cl (Y62176) were staked in Sep/71 by Wainoco OL, which explored by grid soil sampling and geological mapping in 1972. Other nearby staking in Aug-Oct/73 includes CU cl (Y76743) of Vargas ML and Colt Res L, explored by soil sampling, magnetic and EM surveys in 1973; the Dark cl (Y76961) to the south, parts of which were acquired by Keith Copper ML, Lion ML and Geodyne Res L; the Fed cl (Y77706) and Jan cl (Y77670) by Cons Coast Silver ML; the Red cl (Y77126) by Brendon Res L; the Blue cl (Y77174), April cl (Y77608) and Mar cl (Y77638) by Adar Res L and the Molly cl (Y76905) and Colt cl (Y76857) by Mintonia Dev L.

Capsule Geology

The 1972 trenching exposed minor copper mineralization associated with a narrow biotite rich gneissic zone in granodiorite. The 1973 soil sampling located two weak copper anomalies on the eastern side of the claims where geological projection suggests continuation of the western limb of the Silver Standard synclinal structure in granodiorite.
Bulldozer trenching on geochem anomalies in 1973 failed to reach bedrock due to glacial till cover. Minor zones of copper mineralization were encountered in some of the drill holes of which the best graded 0.43% Cu across 0.5 m in Hole 1. Colt reported that two anomalous areas were outlined on the CU claims.
