Capsule

Work History

Fringe staked in Dec/67 around the White River deposit as Nack cl (Y21508) by Gaylord ML, New Privateer ML and Quatsino Copper-Gold ML, and as Doug cl (Y21611) by Jersey Cons. ML and Moly-Win ML. During an IP survey in 1968, an anomaly was found on open ground between the two groups, which was staked as Share cl (Y29637) in October by the Share Syndicate, in which the above five companies held equal shares. The syndicate drilled 5 holes (533.4 m) in April-May/69.

Capsule Geology

The holes were drilled on the Share 5 and Nack 30 claims to test coincident magnetic and IP anomalies in an area of extensive overburden. All cut weakly sheared volcanic rocks of the Permo-Pennsylvanian Station Creek Formation containing up to 15% disseminated magnetite with minor pyrite and pyrrhotite. Traces of chalcopyrite were observed in all holes with the best assay being 0.15% copper from 39.0 to 39.3 m in Hole S3.
