Capsule

Work History

Staked as Charlie, etc cl (YA60227) in May/81 by C. Ross, who performed trenching later in the year, probably in connection with nearby placer mining. Arbor Res L added Burger King cl (YA82616) one km to the north in Jul/84 and performed mapping and geochemical sampling in 1984 and 1985. Total Erickson Res L restaked the Charlie, etc cl and surrounded the Burger King claim with a large block of Dalton cl (YB13587) in Apr/88.

Capsule Geology

Low gold values were found in bedrock near the placer gold workings on Dollis (Squaw) Creek. The best assay was 1.1 g/t Au from a 3 m wide vein.
The creek follows the Duke River Fault, which separates Upper Triassic metasedimentary and metavolcanic rocks cut by Cretaceous diorite and granodiorite stocks (to the east) from Upper Paleozoic sedimentary rocks cut by gabbro and diabase sills (to the west).
