Work History
Staked as EX cl (Yl1145) in Nov/66 by J.B. O'Neill and optioned to Monster ML. Restaked as KAM cl (Y21604) in Dec/67 by G. Harris and R. Granger and optioned briefly to Allison Pass Mg L, which transferred the option to Elgin Pet L. Elgin conducted ground mag and EM surveys and drilled one hole (88.4 m) in the fall of 1968.
Restaked by Harris in May/73 as HJ cl (Y75443); and by Granger as KAM cl (Y79740) in Jul/74. Restaked as C.J. cl (YA97358) in May/87 by R. Stack, who performed trenching in 1988. B. O'Neill restaked the occurrence as the Paradox 1-4 cl (YB46516) in Oct/93.
Capsule Geology
Minor lenses of chalcopyrite occur with epidote in metasedimentary rocks of the Nisling Terrane on the fringe of a 250 gamma aeromagnetic anomaly in a mainly overburden covered area. The drill hole encountered chlorite schist, which is propylitically altered below 61.6 m and cut by minor intrusive zones below 63.1 m. Traces of pyrite, pyrrhotite, magnetite and chalcopyrite are associated with weakly developed quartz veining from 61.6 m to the end of the hole.
