Capsule

Work History

Staked as DEA cl 1-70 (Y85646) in Sep/73 by Spectroair Explorations Ltd, and optioned in 1974 to Cominco Ltd, which carried out soil sampling, mapping and hand trenching in 1974 and drilled 3 holes (336 m) in 1975.

Capsule Geology

The area is underlain by a generally conformably sequence of Upper Proterozoic carbonate and clastic strata that trend northerly and dip shallowly to moderately to the east. Folding in the area is rare, but a major northeast-trending fault lies to the southeast of the occurrence.
Minor amounts of disseminated tetrahedrite, galena and sphalerite fill vugs, fractures and breccia zones in Late Proterozoic dolostone. All three holes (drilled on DEA 8 and DEA 35 claims) encountered traces of mineralization throughout. The best assay was 0.25% lead and 0.9% zinc from 61 to 67 m in Hole 1.
