Work History
First staked as Ironclad (12983) and Star cl (13022) in Apr-May/20 by T. McKay. The Star was sold to J.D. Ryan and E.J. Corp in Sep/21 and taken to lease in 1924. The Ironclad was restaked as Ironclad cl (38721) in Jul/31 by E.J. Corp and explored with a 4.6 m shaft. Both claims were optioned in Oct/50 to Cons Ansley Gold ML, which changed its name to Ankeno ML in early 1951. Ankeno explored with 589.5 m of drilling (14 holes) in 1951-52 and 152.4 m of drifting in 1952-54, before changing its name to Bankeno ML in Mar/55. The property was optioned in 1965 by United Keno Hill ML, which explored with soil sampling, EM surveys and mapping.
Restaked as Kelly cl 1-8 (YB81027) by R. Wondga in Aug/97.
Capsule Geology
A narrow, transverse-type vein cutting quartzite is poorly mineralized with galena, tetrahedrite and sphalerite in a pyrite and siderite gangue.
