Capsule

Work History

First staked as Christal cl (12994) about 1920 by E.J. Corp and explored by hand trenching and a 15 m shaft in 1940 by J.D. Ryan. Purchased in Mar/51 by Cons Ansley Gold ML, which changed its name later in the year to Ankeno ML and again in 1955 to Bankeno ML.
The claim was taken to lease (Lot 910) in Apr/55 and optioned along with several adjoining claims by United Keno Hill ML, which explored with geochem sampling, mapping, EM surveys and bulldozer trenching in 1965 and further geochem sampling in 1979.
United Keno Hill staked Galaxy cl (Y69403) in Jun/73 in this area and carried out geological mapping and geochemical sampling of the claim the following year.

Capsule Geology

The trenches on the Christal claim expose the west end of the east-trending No. 6 longitudinal vein system which cuts thin bedded quartzite and schist of the Devono-Mississippian Earn Group. Mineralization consists of galena, sphalerite, tetrahedrite, arsenopyrite and pyrite in a siderite-quartz gangue and sampling averaged 96.0 g/t silver over narrow widths.
Trenching geochemical anomalies on the Kenny claim, 500 m to the east, located weak mineralization from which a specimen assayed 69 g/t Ag, 0.6% Pb and 0.2% Zn.
