Capsule

Work History

Staked as Laysier cl (83005) in Jun/63 by C. Poli, who bulldozer trenched in 1964. Restaked as Lazier cl (YA42356) in Aug/80 by D. Stewart and G. Poli, who restaked as Lazier cl (YA77328) in Aug/83 and transferred the claims to Mosaic Res L in 1984. Mosaic performed VLF-EM, IP and geochem surveys in 1984.

Capsule Geology

Brecciated vein float containing minor galena was found along a northeast-striking lineament which cuts schist and phyllite of the Late Proterozoic-Early Cambrian Hyland Group. Two veins were inferred to be present. The 1984 geochemical surveys outlined two soil anomalies 1 km apart with values up to 134 ppm Pb, 340 ppm Zn, 1.4 ppm Ag and 30 ppb Au within a broad arsenic anomaly. The northeastern anomaly, which is associated with the old trenches and pits, is 70 m long and gave a rock sample assay of 5600 ppm Pb, 1770 ppm Zn and 9.2 ppm Ag. The southwest anomaly is 150 m long. Two IP and EM anomalies were also outlined.
