Work History
Staked as Faith cl (13168) in May/20 by Yukon Gold L. Restaked as Faith cl (14280) in Aug/21 by E. Meredith, who hand pitted in 1922-24. Restaked as Faith cl (59196) in Apr/49 by W.S. Kennedy and W. Cathro, who explored with hand trenching and with a 7.6 m shaft in 1960. Restaked in Jul/63 as Helen cl (83015) by J. Strebchuk and optioned by Conwest EL in Dec/64 and by Rodstrom Yellowknife in Jul/66. Tie-on claims included Chix cl (84573) in Jul/65 by Jersey Cons ML, Victoria cl (84592) in Jul/65 by United Keno Hill ML and Helen cl (Y6343) in Jul/66 by Rodstrom.
Restaked as Helen cl (Y6907) in Sep/67 by C. Wann and fringed by additional Helen cl (Y31414) in Sep/68 by R. Holway, Crucible cl (Y97329) in Apr/75 and AM cl (YA17128) in Apr/78 by W. Malicky. Work between 1963 and 1979 consisted of a few bulldozer trenches.
Restaked as part of a block of 321 BE cl (YA39081) in Mar/79 by Canada Tungsten Mg Corp L, which performed mapping and geochemical surveys in 1979 and 1980. H. MacDonald staked Lotto cl 1-4 (YB03602) 1 km to the west in Jul/90.
Capsule Geology
Minor amounts of galena and secondary lead minerals are present in a typical transverse vein cutting quartzite and phyllite. A specimen of galena collected from a dump near the old shaft assayed 7 312.9 g/t Ag and a specimen of galena float from a trench 65 m east of the shaft assayed 7 138.1 g/t Ag. Cantung located an unmineralized vein about 0.8 km to the east.
