Work History
Comaplex Minerals Ltd staked the Goo claims (YB26377) in Jul/89, and performed geochemical, magnetometer and VLF-EM surveys and minor hand trenching. The claims were transferred to A. Carlos in Jul/91.
Capsule Geology
Anomalous gold values are associated with Tertiary subaerial volcanic flows and tuffs (andesite, dacite and rhyolite) along a branch of the Big Salmon Fault. Glacial till covers most of the property, but outcropping rhyolite tuff shows moderate to intense quartz-sericite and clay alteration.
Soil samples contained anomalous levels of Hg, Ba, Be, Pb, Cu and Au. Mercury values in excess of 5 000 ppb were obtained near an outcrop of altered rhyolite. Geophysical surveys outlined several VLF-EM conductors.
