Work History
Staked as Felix cl (Y99090) in Jul/75 by Union Carbide, which explored with mapping, EM, Mag and geochem surveys and two Winkie holes (53.0 m) later in 1976, and mapping and geochem sampling in 1980.
Capsule Geology
Six small sphalerite-scheelite showings occur in a skarn zone developed in Lower Cambrian or older sedimentary rocks cut by a granodiorite intrusion. Mineralization was found to be low grade and erratic. The best drill intersection was visually estimated to contain less than 0.1% WO3 and about 4% Zn over 0.7 m.
The 1980 survey investigated weak molybdenum anomalies but failed to locate mineralization.
