Capsule

Work History

Staked as Klik and Bun cl (97686) in Jan/66 by P. Versluce and L. McCowan, who formed a new company, Glenlyon ML, to develop the property. Glenlyon conducted an airborne mag and EM survey, soil sampling and mapping during 1966, and staked the Pine cl (Yl0970) in November; ground EM, soil sampling and bulldozer trenching in 1967; and optioned the property in the spring of 1968 to McIntyre Porcupine ML, which drilled one hole (91.7 m) later in the year to test a geophysical anomaly.

Capsule Geology

Minor chalcopyrite-pyrite showings occur in quartz veinlets cutting metasedimentary rocks, which are cut by a rhyolite dyke near the Tintina Fault. Minor chalcopyrite associated with quartz veining was intersected throughout the drillhole. Core recovery was very poor. Sludge samples from 16.8 to 48.5 m averaged 0.03% Cu, 0.1% Zn, 3.4 g/t Ag and 0.17 g/t Au.
