WORK HISTORY
Staked as Lady Di cl (YA62055) in Aug/81 By Welcome North Mines Limited which conducted mapping, rock and soil sampling and ground magnetic surveys later in the year. In 1982 Noranda optioned the property and collared 3 holes (187 m).
GEOLOGY
Galena, sphalerite and pyrrhotite occur within a sequence of conglomerate, sandstone and shale of the Mississippian Crystal Peak Formation. Chip samples over the main showing averaged 0.6 % lead, 9.9 % zinc and 129 g/t silver. Only one hole intersected mineralization and it returned 0.9 m grading 0.1 % lead, 9.6 % zinc and 13.7 g/t silver in a gangue of massive pyrrhotite.
Two parallel bands of similar mineralization 1 and 3 m wide respectively, were found 3 km west of the main occurrence.
