Work History
The northeast side was staked as Paragon cl (98932) in Jan/66 by Galway EL, which conducted a geochemical and geophysical program later in the year and restaked as Beyon cl (YA81656) in May/84 by Hudson Bay Mg, which performed mapping, geochem and geophysical surveys later in the year.
The southwest side was staked as Delay cl (YA61447) in Jun/81 by E. Fuller. Restaked as Mike cl (YB20246) in Jul/88 by Golden Rum Res L. Comaplex Mls Corp performed mapping and geochemical surveys on the Mike cl in 1989.
Capsule Geology
The claims are underlain by Tertiary rhyolite porphyry to the northeast and ash flow tuffs and flows to the southwest. The volcanics overlie or are faulted against phyllite of uncertain age to the northeast near the Pelly River.
A quartz vein cutting phyllite on the Beyon Group contained 130 ppb Au, 4.1 ppm Ag, 265 ppm Pb, 800 ppm As and 10 ppb Hg. The vein is surrounded by a 5 m wide alteration envelope. Scattered arsenic and mercury values were obtained from pan concentrates.
Quartz veins containing fluorite, arsenopyrite, pyrite, tetrahedrite, sphalerite and galena were found on the Mike 11 and Mike 13 claims in 1989. The veins are associated with alteration along basalt-rhyolite contacts, and form two sets striking northwest and northeast. Some of the veins contain up to 20% total sulphides, and up to 3% arsenopyrite, with minor tourmaline. Talus blocks of veined altered rhyolite float containing sphalerite and galena contained up to 11 ppb Au, 6.2 ppm Ag, 2080 ppm Pb 3012 ppm Zn.
