Work History

Staked as El Pino cl (94512) in Dec/65 by Citation EL, which conducted airborne mag and EM surveys and mapping and soil sampling later in the year.
Restaked as Lyon cl (YA87061) in Jun/85 by Noranda, which performed mapping and geochem sampling in 1985 and 1986. L. Ladue tied on Bits cl (YB21375) in Aug/88 and transferred the claims to Corona Corp in Jul/89.

Capsule Geology

Devono-Mississippian siltstone, argillite, quartzite, conglomerate and black limestone are overlain by Tertiary basalt and andesite flows in an area of extensive overburden. Related felsic intrusions host chalcedony veins and stringers up to 3 cm wide. Many northwest-trending lineaments traversing the property are interpreted as splays from the Tintina Fault which lies immediately north of the claims.
Noranda's geochemical values were generally low although one specimen of rusty rhyolite with quartz stringers from the southwest part of the property returned 80 ppb Au, 62 ppm Sb and 1680 ppm As. Three other rhyolite specimens contained anomalous Sb and As but no gold.
