Capsule

Work History

Staked as Scott cl 1-24 (Y4885) in Apr/66 by Swim Lake Mines Ltd, which carried out airborne magnetometer and EM surveying followed up by geochemical and ground geophysical surveying later in the year. Restaked as Irene cl 1-56 (Y92519) in Mar/75 by Vangorda Project (Welcome North Mines Ltd and Getty Mines Ltd), which carried out geological mapping, geochemical, EM and magnetometer surveying in 1975.

Capsule Geology

The claims were staked in an area of extensive overburden and probably cover the contact between Lower Cambrian Mount Mye formation schists and phyllites and overlying Cambrian to Ordovician Vangorda formation calcareous phyllites and the mid-Cretaceous Anvil Batholith.
