Work History
Staked as DY cl 1-148 (85961) in Mar/64 by Dynasty Explorations Ltd. Restaked in late 1965 by W. Abraham, whose claims were refused because of staking irregularities. Restaked as Luk cl 1-24 (98388) in Jan/66 by F. Chudy and C. Wann and sold to Swim Lake Mines Ltd. Swim Lake flew an airborne magnetometer and EM survey in Jun/66 and carried out geological mapping, soil sampling and magnetometer surveying later that year.
Restaked as Hoho cl 1-8 and 17-35 and Bram cl 9-16 (Y60357) in Mar/71 by Cyprus Anvil Mining Corporation (Dynasty) & Cima Resources Ltd (formerly Atlas Explorations Ltd) which carried out soil sampling and mapping later in the year; Turam and magnetometer surveying in 1973; and more geophysical surveying in 1974. The adjoining ground to the northwest was staked in Jul/74 as Mal cl 1-27 (Y79744) by Malabar Silver Mines Ltd.
Capsule Geology
A single piece of lead-zinc float was found in glacial till in a roadcut by F. Chudy in 1965. Sphalerite and galena were later found in quartz veins and chalcopyrite with pyrrhotite in greenstone lenses on the Hoho and Bram claims. The property is covered by extensive overburden and underlain by Lower Cambrian schists and phyllites of the Mount Mye formation and Cambrian to Ordovician phyllites and calc-silicates of the Vangorda formation.
