Work History

Staked as Jo cl 1-96 (94844) in Dec/65 by Silver Arrow Exploration Ltd, adjoining Anvil Mining Corporation Ltd's Sea group to the west. Adjoining claims to the east and south were purchased by Spur Petroleum Ltd and Amalta Oil and Minerals Ltd (Jo group (94844)) and by Mineral Mountain Mining Company Ltd and Jersey Consolidated Mines Ltd (PB group (95374)). Silver Arrow carried out geological mapping, geochemical and EM surveying and drilled 6 holes (434 m) between Dec/66 and Feb/67. Mineral Mountain and Jersey Consolidated carried out airborne geophysical surveying and soil geochemical surveying in 1966. An airborne magnetometer survey was flown over Jo cl 19-24 and 43-48 in Sep/66 by Golden Gate Exploration Ltd.
Restaked in Mar/75 as Jackie cl 1-64 (Y92599) by Vangorda Project (Welcome North Mines Ltd and Getty Mines Ltd), which added Linda cl 1-44 (Y98528) to the west in May/75 and carried out EM, magnetometer and soil geochemical surveying in 1975, linecutting in 1978 and added more claims in 1982.
The Linda claims were restaked as Pod cl 1-107 (YB12391) in 1988 by Curragh Resources Inc. In Nov/94 Anvil Range Mining Corporation acquired all claims owned by Curragh following the bankruptcy of the later and drilled 6 holes (1 057 m), widely spaced on the Pod and adjoining Sea claims in 1996.
In Jan/98 Anvil Range filed for court protection in order to restructure the company. In Jan/99 Anvil Range¿s stock was delisted and the company entered bankruptcy proceedings.

Capsule Geology

The claims cover a buried contact between schist of the Lower Cambrian Mount Mye formation and mid-Cretaceous granodiorite of the Orchay batholith. A 0.46 m section assaying 2.3% Pb, 1.3% Zn, 68 g/t Ag and 0.03% Cu was intersected in Silver Arrow's Hole 2.
Prospecting by Vangorda Project located a small outcrop of massive sulphide on the Linda cl 46.
