Work History
Staked as Sock cl 1-32 (94073) in Nov/65, adjoining Anvil Mining Corporation Ltd's Sea group, by Prosper Oil and Mining Ltd and Kamloops Copper Consolidated Mines Ltd, which carried out ground magnetometer and EM surveying in 1966. Kamloops Copper drilled a few holes later in the year. The adjoining Tea cl 1-48 (95280) were staked to the southeast in Dec/65 by Continental Consolidated Mines Ltd.
Restaked as Luk cl 1-74 (Y77950) in Nov/73 following an airborne magnetometer and EM survey, by Anvil Range Syndicate (Teck Corporation and Dupont) which carried out a reconnaissance IP survey in 1974. Univex Mining Corporation Ltd added the Pat cl 1-26 (Y80276) to the south in Aug/74.
Restaked as Linda cl 1-44 (Y98528) in Apr/75 by the Vangorda Project, a joint venture between Welcome North Mines Ltd and Getty Mines Ltd. In 1988, Curragh Resources Inc restaked the Linda claims and a larger area to the west as Pod cl 1-107 (YB12391). In Nov/94 Anvil Range Mining Corp acquired all claims owned by Curragh following the bankruptcy of the latter.
In Jan/98 Anvil Range filed for court protection in order to restructure the company. In Jan/99 Anvil Range¿s stock was delisted and the company entered bankruptcy proceedings.
Capsule Geology
The claims are mostly overburden covered but are probably underlain by Lower Cambrian quartz-muscovite-biotite schist and limestone of the Mount Mye formation.
