Work History
Staked as Next cl 1-27 (Y4318) in Apr/66 by Great Yukon Mines Ltd and Wavy cl (Y202) in Feb/66 by North Point Mines Ltd. Another group of Next claims (Y4290) was transferred to J.A. Gilbert. Following geophysical surveys, the Great Yukon claims were transferred to a new company, Great Molly Exploration Ltd in Dec/67. North Point conducted a bulldozing program in Feb/67.
A small program of linecutting, mag, and EM surveys was conducted in 1966 on the adjoining Go group (44792), staked in Apr/66.
Restaked as Lou cl 1-8 (YB66335) by A. John in Oct/95. The original staking sketch incorrectly located these claims and in Apr/97, a correction notice moved the Lou claims 3 km to the northwest. The corrected location is situated southwest of Minfile Occurrence #105K 023, the occurrence to which these claims are now assigned.
Capsule Geology
The claims cover the faulted contact between basalt of the Permian Anvil Range Group and conglomerate, quartzite and limestone of the Paleozoic to Triassic Yukon-Tanana Terrane. No mineralization was reported by any of the 1960's exploration programs.
