Work History

Staked as Lisa cl 1-48 (93981) in Nov/65 by Silver Arrow Mines Ltd and Ram cl 9-55 (99011) in Feb/66 by Green Valley Mines Ltd. Silver Arrow conducted an airborne magnetometer and EM survey and reconnaissance mapping in 1966. Green Valley completed mapping and ground geophysical surveys in 1966.
The Soy cl 1-32 (Y67395) were staked 0.5 km to the south in Oct/72 by A. Kulan and were restaked as Tar cl 1-24 (YA8289) in Oct/76 by Vangorda Project (Welcome North and Getty), which explored with mapping and geological surveys in 1977. In Dec/87 F. Charlie and A. John staked the Pelly cl 1-18 (YB12737) overtop the lapsed Tar claims. The Pelly cl 1-8 (YB27325) were restaked in Mar/90 by F. Charlie.
In Oct/95 A. John staked Lou cl 1-8 (YB66335) overtop the expired Pelly claims. The Soy, Tar, Pelly and Lou claims were originally recorded as lying 3 km to the southeast, near Minfile Occurrence #105K 024. In Aug/96 John contracted A. Carlos to write a report on a small rock sampling program John had undertaken on the Lou claims. In Apr/97 Carlos and John came to an ownership agreement on the Lou claims and as part of the agreement Carlos staked Lassie cl 1-32 (YB97355) northwest and southeast of the Lou claims, and the claims were subsequently optioned to YGC Resources Ltd. YGC carried out reconaissance prospecting, mapping and geochemical sampling in May/97 and 5.3 km of VLF-EM surveying in Sep/99.
In Jun/97 F. Charlie staked Hope cl 1 (YB97804) southwest of the Lou claims.

Capsule Geology

The claims cover a faulted contact between basalt of the Permian Anvil Range Group and conglomerate, quartzite, shale and limestone of the Paleozoic to Triassic Yukon-Tanana Terrane. The sediments strike east to east-southeast and dip steeply to the southwest. Fine grained massive pyrite mineralization occurs in highly sheared, rusty quartzite breccia cemented by impure calcite. Geochemical soil and rock results on the Tar group were generally low for base metals, as were samples collected from the (Pyrite) showing.
John collected 24 chips samples from the same gossanous quartzite exposure (West showing, Lou cl 1) located along the Pelly River. Some of the samples returned moderately anomalous values for Ag, Cu, Zn, As and Sb. Au values were also anomalous and typically ranged from above detection to 200 ppb with peak values up to 820 ppb.
YGC sampled a second (East) showing, 2 km to the east (Lassie cl 24), and identified anomalous gold values ranging from 6 to 89 ppb. Gold values were found to generally correlate with zones of silicification, which also showed corresponding anomalous peak levels for Ag (4.3 ppm), As (122 ppm), Sb (197 ppm) and Hg (7 ppm). Geophysical surveying in the vicinity of the East showing identified four northerly trending VLF-EM anomalies that may represent extensional structures cross cutting the stratigraphy.
