Work History
Staked as Hoy cl 1-24 (67391) in Nov/53 by Alator Corporation Ltd and Chemical Research Corporation Ltd, which carried out geological mapping in 1954. Magnetic surveying was carried out in 1955 by Briken Exploration Ltd, a syndicate composed of Transcontinental Resources Ltd, Dome Mines Ltd, Timmins Corporation, Chemical Research Corporation, Sapphire Petroleum Ltd and Yellowknife Bear Mines Ltd. British Yukon Exploration Ltd staked the Klik cl 1-8 and and KK cl 1-8 (67262) in Oct/53 to the north and carried out geological mapping in 1954 and magnetic surveying in 1955.
Restaked as Cris cl 1-34 and Jim cl 1-8 (93838) in Nov/65 by Arlington Silver Mines Ltd, which carried out geological mapping, ground magnetic and EM surveying and extensive bulldozer trenching in 1966. Golden Gate Exploration Ltd added Glyn cl 65-72 (94892) in Dec/65 at both ends of the Arlington property and explored with an airborne magnetic survey in Sep/66.
Capsule Geology
The area covers the faulted contact between basalt of the Permian Anvil Range Group and quartzite of the Paleozoic Yukon Tanana-Terrane. Small amounts of chalcopyrite were found in trenching by Arlington.
