Work History
Staked as Casca cl (Y910) in Mar/66 by Silver City ML, which conducted an extensive bulldozer trenching program later in the year. Partially restaked as Lyn cl (Y36756) in Sep/69 by Kerr Addison ML in connection with work on the adjoining Lyn occurrence (Minfile 105K 011).
Restaked as Ridge cl (Y79918) in Jul/74 by Teck Corp & Silver Standard ML, which carried out mapping, soil sampling and an EM survey later in the year. Nearby staking in 1977 included the Bess cl (YA8743) by S.E. Hunter 1.6 km to the east in Feb and a long block of 115 Lou cl in September, passing about 1.6 km southwest, by the Woodside Project (Getty & Welcome North), which performed grid soil sampling in 1978 and 1979.
Restaked as JWM & Verle cl (YA97417) in May/87 by Dominion E Inc (Landmark Corp), which added more Verle cl and performed road construction and airborne geophysical surveys in 1988. L. Lebedoff tied on JTV cl (YB24590) to the south in Nov/88. Dominion performed linecutting on the Verle cl in 1989.
Capsule Geology
The claims cover the contact between Cambro-Ordovician calcareous phyllite (Kechika Group) and Cretaceous granodiorite. Garnet-diopside-quartz skarn and staurolite-garnet-biotite-muscovite schist occur at the intrusive contact. No mineralization has been found, although soil sampling on the Lou group outlined two Pb, Zn, Ag anomalies.
