Work History
Staked as Bill and Pelly cl (Y16633) in Oct/66 by Atlas EL & Mitsui Mg & SCL, which explored with mapping, grid soil sampling and mag and EM surveys in 1967. The property was later transferred to Atsui Mg CL.
Capsule Geology
The claims are underlain by Ordovician to Lower Devonian Road River Formation clastic rocks near the contact of a Cretaceous stock. Reconnaissance geochemical sampling returned anomalous copper, lead and zinc values. Grid soil sampling outlined four zinc anomalies in the 600 to 2300 ppm range. Lead and copper soil response was erratic. The anomalous geochemistry is due to small mineralized veins associated with two northeast-trending faults.
Only two significant showings were found. The first is a replacement in dolomite that assayed 3% combined lead-zinc. The second is a limestone breccia that assayed 3.6% combined lead-zinc. The second zone occurs at the end of a strong zinc soil anomaly that could indicate extension along strike. Both of the showings have low copper and silver values.
