Work History
Staked as Pup cl (89286) in Aug/65 by Mt Billings Ventures (Asarco, Cerro and Duval). Restaked as Thor cl (Y19627) in Aug/67 by Spartan EL, which performed reconnaissance mapping and sampling in 1968. This area was prospected in 1977 and 1978 as part of Welcome North ML's by Welcom North NL.
Capsule Geology
Chalcopyrite, scheelite and molybdenite occur in small roof pendants of skarn within the Mt Billings Batholith. The skarn has formed from a sequence of Proterozoic gneiss, schist and minor limestone. Two 1.5 m chip samples assayed 0.3% and 0.2% WO3.
