Work History
Staked in Aug/67 as Thor cl (Y19627) by Spartan EL, which performed minor mapping and sampling in 1968. Restaked as Rena cl (YA56706) in Sep/80 by Welcome North ML and optioned briefly to Union Carbide EL, which performed mapping and geochem sampling in 1981.
Capsule Geology
Up to 10 molybdenite and scheelite showings are associated with hydrothermal alteration related to a complex multi-phase intrusion. Mineralization is associated with a magnetite-chlorite-molybdenite stockwork in a zone of quartz-pyrite-sericite alteration near the margin of the Cretaceous Mt Billings Batholith (granodiorite). Minor scheelite and a trace of wolframite were also found in the stockwork.
