Work History

Staked as Guy cl (89357) in Sep/65 by Mt Billings Venture (Asarco, Cerro and Duval), which carried out sampling and mapping. Restaked in Oct/68 as Bob cl (Y28680) by M. Martin; and in Jul/71 as Tanya cl (Y55505) by J.C. Turner, who performed hand trenching and a mag survey in 1972.
The property was optioned in 1974 by Hoko EL, which drilled 9 holes (909 m) in 1974 and hand trenched in 1978.

Capsule Geology

Chalcopyrite, scheelite, galena and sphalerite occur in pyrrhotite lenses and veinlets that are present in skarn zones developed in argillaceous limestone of probable Cambrian age. Mineralization occurs at the north edge of the Cretaceous Mt Billings Stock and in roof pendants. Scheelite is more common at the west end. Mt Billings Venture obtained assays as high as 0.85% WO3 but found that the mineralization was erratic.
