Work History

First staked as LF cl (88971) in Oct/64 by Yukon Pacific Prospecting Group (Asarco, Cerro and Duval), which performed mapping and sampling in 1964-65. Restaked in Apr/66 as Midas cl (Y2751) by Hyland River ML, which filed no work, and in Jun/80 as Zulu & Zest cl (YA54865) by Newline Res L, which performed hand trenching in 1980 and EM, mag and geochem surveys in 1981.
Pacific Rim Energy Corp tied on the Zebra cl (YA56922) to the south in Sep/80 and transferred part of its interest to Vancliffe Res Corp in 1981. The Zest group was reoptioned in 1981 by Pacific Tungsten Corp and the claims were jointly explored with mapping and geochem, VLF EM and mag surveys later in the year by Newline, Pacific Rim and Pacific Tungsten.
Restaked as PR cl 5-8 (YB78419) by Finlayson Joint Venture Inc, in Mar/96 who conducted a program of prospecting and limited rock sampling in 1996.

Capsule Geology

Limonitic gossan zones contain finely disseminated pyrite, pyrrhotite, chalcopyrite, sphalerite and galena. Host rocks consist of Cambrian and earlier gneiss and schist and Late Paleozoic calcareous and pelitic metasedimentary rocks near the margins of Cretaceous plutons. Numerous anomalies were reported.
