Work History
Staked as Jan cl (Y2759) in Apr/66 by S.J. Carter for Hyland River ML, which performed trenching in 1966 and trenching and sampling in 1969.
Restaked as Gold cl (Y72638) in Mar/73 and as Princess and Patricia cl (YA34341) in Jul/78 by J.C. Turner. These were transferred to Patmar Res L and Majestic Mg Corp, which performed mapping in 1979 and trenching in 1980.
Pacific Rim Energy Corp tied on the Zebra cl (YA56922) to the north in Sep/80. The Patricia cl were transferred to Kinai Res Corp and a 10% interest in the Princess and Zebra cl was transferred to Vancliffe Res EL in Jun/81. During 1981, Majestic, Kinai and Pacific Rim each performed geochem, VLF-EM and mag surveys on their respective claim groups.
The Princess group was partially restaked as Jan cl (YB1348) in Sep/87 by D. Stewart. Restaked as PR cl 1-4 (YB78419) by Finlayson Joint Venture Inc in Mar/96.
Capsule Geology
Chalcopyrite and gold occur in gossanous skarns in Cambrian or older limy metasedimentary rocks near the contact with a Cretaceous quartz monzonite batholith. Sampling of trenches gave assays averaging 0.6% Cu and 0.34 g/t Au across widths of 3 to 12 m. The mineralized zone varies in thickness from 0.5 to 6 m and is exposed for 305 m, striking north and dipping 70° west. The 1981 surveys returned weakly anomalous geochemical and geophysical responses.
