Capsule

Work History

Staked as Hoole cl (YB10424) in Dec/87 by Welcome North ML, which explored with airborne Mag/EM, prospecting, mapping and geochem sampling in 1988. Del Norte Chrome Corp added Spitz cl (YBI1699) to the northwest in Feb/88 and conducted geochem and geophysical surveys later that year.

Capsule Geology

The claims cover the Tintina Fault Zone, which separates Lower Cambrian or older granodiorite gneiss and augen gneiss to the northeast from Ordovician to Lower Devonian Road River Fm slate containing thin volcanic sills. Placer gold occurs in Hoole River to the northeast and may be related to Tertiary rhyolite, which occurs locally within the fault zone.
The geophysical surveys identified structures parallel to the fault but no mineralization or soil anomalies were found.
